Financial aid & scholarships
No student turned away for cost.
The North Carolina Youth Orchestra is dedicated to nurturing the musical talents of young musicians. To ensure that financial considerations never hinder participation, we offer a range of options to meet the needs of our students.
Suzanne Goakes Scholarship Fund
Provides needs-based scholarships that empower talented young musicians to pursue their passion for music regardless of financial constraints. Students in need of financial assistance can apply through this fund.
Stan & Theresa Getz Scholarship Fund
A merit-based fund that nurtures and empowers students who demonstrate exceptional dedication, passion, and promise. Music educators are invited to nominate outstanding students who exemplify musical excellence and leadership.
Family Discounts
Additional students in one household automatically receive a 10% discount on annual tuition, with an annual family tuition max of $1,200.
Payment Plans
For families who may not qualify for a financial aid scholarship but require assistance managing tuition.
Merit Scholarships
Full and partial merit-based scholarships through the Getz Family Scholarship Fund.
Partial & Full Scholarships
Need-based partial and, in cases of extreme financial need, full scholarships through the Suzanne Goakes Scholarship Fund.
